The French Quarter

We started with a home that felt visually overwhelming and slightly disjointed—largely due to a harsh blue wall color that competed with the clients’ vibrant New Orleans artwork. While the family loves blue, the original tone was working against the overall design. We reimagined the palette by introducing a softer, more balanced blue that complements the artwork rather than overpowering it, creating a calmer and more cohesive foundation throughout the home.

Beyond aesthetics, organization became a central focus. The family’s daily routines weren’t fully supported by the existing layout, so we took a thoughtful approach to reworking key areas—especially the laundry room, breakfast nook, and an unused space off the kitchen. By reworking the layout in the laundry room, we were able to add a folding station to make wash day a breeze. We added a wall to divide the breakfast nook and the kitchen, allowing us to transform this space into a cozy lounge area complete with a built-in bar! The un-used space adjacent to the kitchen, became their new dining area which is oh-so adorable!

Storage was refined, zones were clarified, and each space was designed with intention to make everyday tasks feel easier and more streamlined.

We also helped the family establish simple, sustainable routines to maintain order long after installation. The result is a home that not only looks beautiful, but functions effortlessly—where everything has a place, and daily life feels more manageable, comfortable, and aligned with how they truly live.
