POETIC GRACE

This newly built home was beautiful but lacked warmth and personality. Our clients had recently relocated from Minnesota to be closer to their daughter in Austin, and they wanted their new space to feel inviting, layered, and truly their own.

We focused on the main social areas—living room, dining room, entry and foyer, powder bath, mudroom, kitchen, and home office—bringing a sense of cohesion and comfort throughout. The home’s abundant natural light was a great starting point, and we enhanced it with a soft, tonal palette. While most walls remained crisp white, we added depth by introducing a warm taupe accent color through custom millwork, painted doors and trim, and a refreshed fireplace. A simple new mantle and ribbed tile surround gave the fireplace a subtle yet elegant focal point without overwhelming the space.

We curated sophisticated furnishings in a timeless mix of taupe, black, and natural textures—creating a serene and easy-to-maintain environment with a minimalist edge. One of our favorite transformations is the home office. With its soaring 20-foot ceiling, the room initially felt vast and cold, so we added custom millwork and wallpaper to visually bring the ceiling down and create intimacy. The result is a space that feels both striking and serene—an elegant reflection of our clients’ refined style and new chapter in Austin.
